Robocopy es una de las herramientas más interesantes de Windows. Primero que me acuerda del la fantástica serie de películas Robocop, que no tiene nada que ver con la herramienta, a parte del nombre. El nombre robocopy es el nombre corto del nombre original de la herramienta “Robust File Copy”. La primera versión estaba en el Windows Resource Kit de Windows NT 4.
Robocopy sigue disponible de manera nativa en Windows 7 y Server 2008 R2.
Robocopy es una potente herramienta para copiar ficheros. Potente debido a la flexibilidad y la gran cantidad de opciones que tienes. Es la manera más fácil de tener control granular sobre la copia de archivos.
Si eres perezoso como yo, puedes usar un interfaz gráfico publicado por Microsoft en el 2009, RichCopy. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2009.04.utilityspotlight.aspx
